Hi, I'm Mav

I’m Mavita Sayal Robinson: an artist, designer, and lifelong creative who has been making things for as long as I can remember. My love for painting began at four years old with a paintbrush in my hand, and somehow, all these years later, I’m still finding new ways to create.

That love for creativity eventually led me to the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I studied design and was surrounded by new places, cultures, ideas, and ways of seeing. Those experiences shaped not only how I design, but how I approach art today.

Through Designs by Mav, I bring those two sides of myself together.

​

I create original artwork, watercolor house portraits, custom paintings, and design work inspired by the people, places, stories, and little details that make life meaningful. Painting gives me a chance to slow down and get lost in the process, while design lets me think, experiment, and bring ideas to life in a different way.

​

A lot of what I create is rooted in a feeling — a place you love, a home that means something, a memory worth holding onto, or simply an idea you want to see made real.

​

Whether I’m holding a paintbrush or working behind a screen, I want my work to feel thoughtful, personal, and full of character.
